The Six Princes of the House of Hesse…

Experience the little known story of the six princes of Hesse and their close connection to the Royal Families of Europe.

This tour is a search through the Westend district for clues that shine some light on the lives of these six brothers. They lived, loved and sometimes suffered in this part of Frankfurt.

The dramatic course of their life stories is at the same time impressive and shocking but always moving. It spans both World Wars until the present day.

A short visit to the foyer of the Five Star “Grand Hotel Hessischer Hof” is included in the tour. This hotel belongs to the “Hessische Hausstiftung” (foundation) which is run by the prince’s descendants, Donatus Landgrave of Hesse and Rainer Prince of Hesse.

The “Hessische Hausstiftung” includes:
Grandhotel Hessischer Hof
Schlosshotel Kronberg
Schloss Fasanerie bei Fulda
Weingut Prinz von Hessen im Rheingau
Gut Panker in Ostholstein
